I founded the Tom Steyer campaign in New Hampshire ahead of the competitive, First in the Nation primary in 2020. I was invited to join the campaign, having previously worked with Tom on Need to Impeach as the New England Organizing director.
I had many roles over the course of the campaign as our needs changed, starting as Organizing Director where I hired and on-boarded over 50 staffers, honed our outward language on the candidate's policy positions,
I then moved into communications roles as the campaign progressed, serving as Press Secretary in New Hampshire where I drafted and approved all media and public facing materials including press releases, letters to the editor, in-state speeches, talking points, video scripts, volunteer emails, digital ads and op-eds.
Eventually I was promoted to Communications Advisor in Texas ahead of Super Tuesday, overseeing the existing communications staff on the ground, including communications director, digital director, and press secretary.
Over the course of the campaign I was able to place stories in over 40+ regional and national print and broadcast outlets, including the Texas Tribune, The Concord Monitor, The Union leader, The Dallas Morning News, The Associated Press, AFP, Houston Chronicle, WMUR, and many others.
